Pechanga Resort & Spa
I was recently invited to stay at the Pechanga Resort & Spa in Temecula, California. I had never been to such a fancy resort and have to say this was the best mini-vacation I’d ever had. Next time instead of two days I think staying three or four would make it perfect. This was an awesome way to end the school year and start off our summer.
The drive wasn’t too bad. We left early and were able to escape traffic.
Inside the decor was just amazing. I love the high class interior and how mesmerizing it was. When we got there we ventured to the Quick Bites for a snack. The kids both tried the donut shop and got fresh made donuts. They were in such heaven that they ordered a second tray of them.
I tried something healthier and got a Cobb Salad from Little Wok. The salad was freshly made and absolutely phenomenal. We got out room and the kids were bowled over with how big it was. It was a suite (for me) with an attached room with two beds (for them). I did a video tour when we first walked into the rooms so I can share it with my fans.
The view from outside the room was phenomenal. I love the view of the mountains and these ones were majestic. The backside of the hotel, when we were at the golf course for lunch, was just as beautiful. A few hours after checking in I got to the spa. Yes, a real spa. It was fabulous. I was checked in and given a locker to put my day clothing in and donned a robe and slippers. There was a waiting room with cucumber water, tea, relaxing white noise and comfortable chairs.
Another spa member was there with her daughters and she saw me failing at a spa selfie and volunteered to take a picture of me.
The masseuse, Renee, came and got me and brought me into the massage room. The room was lit with candles and I received a super relaxing 1-hour bamboo massage. I have had massages before but never with bamboo. It was a fabulous massage and Renee did a great job and was sweet and great at keeping up the conversation and I left the massage feeling like I had a new friend. The spa also offers couple massages, full nail salons, hair cut and styles, skin care and body treatment. There is also a fitness center with cardio machines and weights.
The chandeliers and other small details of the resort are absolutely pneumonia. I love how every where I looked there was something beautiful.
Afterwards we went to dinner at the Pechanga Buffet. There was cuisines from all areas of the world. The kids dined on mostly pizza and then grabbed lots of dessert. There was food from anything from steamed crab legs and a few types of shrimp to Mexican food, Italian and more. My daughter piled on a random selection of pizza, french fries, sushi, ribs and more. My son got pizza, waffles and an egg roll.As for me, I got a salad and piled on the greens. There was definitely a lot of to choose from and I was very happy with how fresh the veggies were.

Wasn’t long before my son decided to try to steal my bed from me. Not that this lasted. But the beds were so comfortable it was a definitely a ‘I want to sleep here and never go home’ type of rest.
Outside the resort there was some nicely made homage to the Pechanga people. The Temecula Indians (Temeekuyam) lived at Temeekunga The Temecula valley home for more than 10,000 years. Today, the gross total land area of Pechanga reservation stands at 5,500 acres. The resort is on this land and plans to expand the casino in the next few years. We had lunch at the golf course restaurant and it was a lovely day to watch the golfers. We walked over to the bridge that crossed to the golf course and while we don’t golf it was a beautiful view of the valley and mountains.I felt like we were in the middle of the country. It was so peaceful and quiet.
Inside my food came. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Platter. It was a delicious meal and a pleasure to chat with the head chef. My daughter ordered waffles and fresh fruit.
My son loved the sailboat look on the mini waffle. His whole meal was eggs, sausage and breakfast potatoes.
Inside the hotel I showed the kids some of the regalia and artifacts of the Pechanga people. There was a whole wall with arrowheads, baskets, bows and more.
The entertainment line up for 2015 includes comedians, musicians, MMA Boxing and more. Tickets can be purchased for live entertainment for everyone to enjoy. In the next two years the this will expand as well. The casio also has a swimming pool and might be addine another one in the expansion.
We definitely loved staying her and will come back again. The casino and resort were awesome, and customer service and hospitality from every single person as over the top. Extras, like a full room menu, express check out, valet drivers from the resort to the golf course and free wifi are all offered.
