Homemade Chicken Soup Recipe
I love cooking from home and sometimes going back to the basics, of simple meals that everyone loves, is good. Especially with fall coming. This recipe is easy to make and can be done on the stovetop or in a crockpot. It can be Chicken Noodle Soup or Chicken Rice Soup, depending on what you want to add to it. The meat is Foster Farms Chicken. Fresh and American Humane Certified from local farms in California.
Not everyone is as lucky to live in California but since we are, it is awesome that the chicken we buy is free range organic chickens raised in California. No worries about it being shipped across the states or further. Foster Farms started almost 80 years ago and is family owned. Something that I love for my family so that we are eating healthy and fresh foods.
I support local farmers by going to the farmer’s markets, by buying locally grown produce and by buying Foster Farms since all of the fresh chicken is from California. This has an impact on the environment, by not having things shipped across the country, and on my family, by offering my children healthy foods that are healthier since they have not been in cargo for weeks.
I purchased one pack of chicken at the local grocery store and prepared the chicken, veggies and seasoning to make chicken soup. Making some noodles separately ensured I can have the soup base cook thoroughly with the veggies soft and the meat tender and delicious and the noodles aren’t soggy.

Season chicken and add it to the pot. Add water and broth and simmer for a few hours.
Cook noodles or rice and add in 15 minutes before it is done or do it without and just serve in a bowl with cilantro and avocado. Tortilla strips can be added, too, making this recipe easy to adapt to three different soups.

This sounds really good. I could have used this earlier this month when I was really sick and stuck with the store bought crap. Can’t wait to see what other recipes you post.
