Frozen Hot Chocolate Drinks
This is a delicious drink and alternative to hot chocolate. Great for a dessert or treat. I changed the recipe up a little bit, adding a natural sweetener instead of sugar to reduce the carbs and calories in the drink. It tasted amazing and the kids enjoyed helping make it. It is also made with some basic, at home, ingredients. Since it has a lower amount of sugar adults watching their sugar intake can enjoy it too. We don’t get much for cold weather in California so a frozen drink is always a good alternative.
KetoseSweet is a great alternative to sugar for all sorts of recipes and is just as sweet as sugar. It is made with Stevia and Monk fruit and is a clean, all natural sweetener. It is diabetic-friendly, KETO and paleo diet friendly too. I love that it has 1/4 the calories as white sugar. Check out their Pinterest for more recipe ideas.

Awesome new dessert for a lower-calorie New Year!
Ingredients:
- 1 Tbs chocolate extract.
- 2 Tbs KetoseSweet natural sweetener.
- 1/2 cup cocoa, unsweetened.
- 4 cups non-fat milk.
- 3 cups ice cubes.
- *Optional- fresh mint leaves or peppermint extract to give it a mint-chocolate taste.
Directions:
- Add Milk to blender followed by all ingredients except ice cubes.
- Blend 30 seconds.
- Add ice cubes to blender.
- Blend until ice cubes are crushed and drink fully mixed.
- If drink is too thick add more ice and repeat last step.
- Pour into glasses.
- Top with chocolate shavings or cinnamon sprinkles.
Serving size is 4 people. You can add play with this to change how sweet, chocolatey or sweet you want the drink. It can be made ahead too and then put in the fridge for a slushier drink or in the freezer.
