21 Creative Things To Gift For Easter
Don’t get me wrong, I love sweets. Especially chocolate. So I will definitely put candy and chocolates in the Easter baskets. But I like to find other things, that aren’t only junky 99 cent toys and some sweet alternatives. Each year, for the last few now, I’ve been in charge of the baskets. I do them for my kids, my nieces and nephew. Five baskets in all. Not everything in them can be duplicate since the ages range from 9-18. I like to find practical gifts but ones small enough to fit in the baskets. Here are some things that I got for a review or found on Amazon and in stores that I think are perfect for Easter baskets. I like to make the baskets unique enough for each kid but easy too.
First- the candy and chocolate. Because there has to be at least a tiny bit. I’ll be splitting this among all the baskets so the kids don’t get too much. I also buy Jelly Bellies every year (cherry, orange and blueberry). Something my mom always loves. All of these are from Palmer. They have sweets for every occasion. These, just for Easter, are adorable choccolate bunnies, Bunny Bottoms, carrot shaped chocolate crisps and a variety pack.
These are a 3-in-1 Easter gift by Radz Foamz. They are a cute keychain toy and can be used as a backpack clip, are a squish-me toy and are a candy dispenser. They come in bunnies and chicks in a few different colors and styles. Candy is included, in four flavors and folded up in the packages is a little Easter coloring poster. The dispenser can even be used as a finger puppet. The kids will be playing with these long after the candy is gone.
To get into the mood of Easter check out these super fun Egg Mazing egg decorators. Simply add batteries, put an egg inside and turn it on. Color any pattern you want as the machine spins your egg for you. No messy fingers of ink smudges. No spilled dye. Each kid comes with 8 quick-dry markers too.
School- Doodles- Digital
I love these ever usable digital notebooks by RocketBook. The Everlast books can be written in over and over with drawings, classroom notes, math problems, etc. and uploaded to a computer or cell phone. It comes in five colors (on outside cover) three sizes plus even a ‘color’ one for doodles.
Personal Care & Beauty
My kids fight over scrubs and facial masks. They do it for the health benefits of exfoliating and adding moisture to their faces but they do it because they enjoy it and it is fun too. Some little self-pampering is always a good. Plus I’m saving money since if I didn’t give these as a gift they’d want me to buy them anyways. These three are a Mediterranean Salt Scrub, Shea Sugar Scrub and a Shea Body Butter. These will be cute in their Easter baskets. These ceramic eggs by Eggnots are fantastic for Easter. Especially for someone allergic to eggs or if you have a ton of kids that want to decorate eggs and not a lot that will eat them afterwards. Not only that, they can be used year after year. Besides dyeing them, they can be decorated, colored on and hidden for an Easter egg hunt.
If you have kids that want to color and paint and Easter egg dye is too messy you can try a Paint-Station. These awesome paints are unspillable. Dye the eggs the night before, while they are asleep, and let them color on them with markers. Then, for more fun, they can use the table top easel and the washable paints to paint their own Easter bunnies, baskets and more. There is enough paint and paper for 150 paintings. Easy way to keep kids entertained while adults hide the eggs too. Ages 3+If Easter is a big family gathering, like it is at our house, there might be down time for the kids where they are ‘boooored.’ They egg dyeing is done. Adults are prepping food. Kids can’t hunt for eggs or their baskets yet. So what do they do? Besides all jump on a cell phone!! How about some board games? Games for the little kids are easy. There is always plenty of games around for them. But for the tweens and teens it is a little harder. The games better be interesting or they’ll be on their social media instead. I found three games I think they’ll love and I can’t wait to bring them out on Easter. Exit the Game comes in six ‘places.’ I received The Sunken Treasure (ages 10+) and The Pharaoh’s Tomb (ages 12+). They are like an escape room in a box. Games are 1-4 players and play time is 1-2 hours. The other game, Word Slam (ages 12+) is a fast-paced card game with over 200 answer cards (over 1200 terms), 210 story word cards, 4 card colders, a die and an hourglass. It is for 3+ players and play time is 45 minutes. Cousins can team up with a younger and older one on a team to make the teams evened out.
Teens are sooo hard to shop for. They like candy and chocolate, of course, but I like to add practical gifts in their Easter baskets as well. Some are small things, small enough to fit in plastic eggs, others are cute and stylish. I love these adorable shoes and socks (not by the same companies). The socks are by Society Socks (and they have a HUGE variety). The two they sent me are pineapples and crabs. The socks are thick and comfortable and for each pair sold a pair is donated to a homeless shelter.
These boots are not only practical, they are stylish. These are the men’s DotCom 2.0 Denim Oxford Boots by Lugz. They have sturdy eyelets, really cute denim in black or indigo and are cluncy sneakers. I might keep them for myself! They are cute with a dressed-up outfit and will jeans and a t-shirt. Great for work or school.
These little unicorns are called Cutie Cuff Unicorns. They are perfect to put on the side of a basket handle. Some bling to the basket plus they are a huggable toy. They come in 8 different designs. The packaged Lil’ Flockers are mini unicorn figures with stickers. The middle one is a blue and purple pegasus one that I opened (I was curious and wanted to see what it looked like).
Some card games. Great for Easter at a family member’s house since they are easy to transport and good for a mix of ages. 3Up 3 Down is a game I remember as a kid. It is easy to play and is great for a mixed group (ages 7+) and 2-6 players. A good family game. Boom Goes the Dynamite is for ages 8+ and is another family game. It takes only 3 minutes to learn and each game is about 15 minutes of play. The mission is to ignite as many matches as you can with some strategy, memory and luck. Oh Fruck! Is a hilarious card game with two decks, changing rules and people with a bit of a spicy sense of humor. Games are for 2-6 players and ages 15+. This one will be a fun gift for my teens.
For little ones (ages 1 1/2+) they can have some pretend play fun for hours and hours. These are too big for a regular Easter basket but they are still a great way to gift a nice present and make it a part of a holiday. I loved when my kids were this age and would animate the characters with their own voices for the people and animals.
Playmobil Zoo with primates, penguins and more. Even a bucket of fish to feed to the penguins.
Playmobil castle with king, queen, horse, bird, and cat.
A great one that will fit inside plastic eggs, is practical and for all ages are these lovely headbands. Bold Bandz has a HUGE selection of styles, sizes and widths of headbands. Great for little kids to adults. I got some for everyone’s basket and one (the black glitter one) for myself. The kids like headbands as a cute hairstyle. I like them to keep my hair out of my face, especially when I’m applying makeup. Each one has its own name and they are easy to order online. Right now you can use promo code momAWTY20 or 20% off entire purchase on their site(and they already have fabulous prices).
These bracelets are so personal. Kids will think they were made just for them. Made by Luc & Bell, they are a ‘just for you’ type of bracelet with a quote on the card. Each one has different beads and an animal charm in it. Made by friends that know navigating the world can be complicated. They fit perfectly in a basket or hide them inside of a plastic egg.
These greeting cards from LovePop are perfect to add to baskets or to send to friends and family far away. They are all extremely detailed and receive rave reviews for the creativity of the makers. I love them because they are also memorable and a keepsake. You can find cards for holidays, anniversaries, get well, birthdays and more.
Live butterflies! I’ve always wanted to have a butterfly farm and spring is the perfect time. These are not only fun but they are hands on (sorta) and educational. Kids can’t touch or hold the butterflies but they can watch their life cycle and feed them once they are butterflies before releasing them.
Check out this box of plush animals. The small ones are great for backpack clips. The big ones, called Moosh-Moosh Sequins, are snuggly and have the ‘mermaid pillow’ sequins on the front that you can rub your hand back and forth on. They are all super soft too.
My kids love slime and putty so these are so creative individual. They will love these. Here is the list of what I received from Kangaroo’s Super Cool products:
- Emoji Poop Slime.
- Jurassic World Slime.
- Metallic Gold Putty.
- Area 51 Glow Putty.

It even comes with 6 different colors of paint. Made by Creative Roots. They have an elephant, unicorn, rainbow and fairy available.
All the kids (and friends or parents) can play this together. It is for 4-10 players so a whole group can play together. Not Parent Approved is a fast-paced fun game for ages 8+ and is easy to learn.
This is my first time hearing about either of these products and I’m excited to have the kids open them up and have fun with them. The first, Bubble Pop SLIMYGLOOP, is a slime and yet has expanding water beads too. So it is colorful, changes in size, and are kits, so the kids have to create them. The other one is Jiggle Digs. It is a shinny, squishy, reveal. Just crape away to reveal 2 surprises. Instructions are easy to follow. Kids have fun with both kids.
Have some laughs with Tony Hawk’s Box Boarders super pack. You can skate and shoot on this ‘kidney bowl’ mini skate park.
