Easter Gift Guide for 2020
Since everyone is at home without Easter celebrations with extended family and friends or Easter Egg hunts at the local parks I’ll be concentrating more on things that can be gifted to be used and played with at home. Right now kids are not having play dates, going to school, the park or on field trips so I’m trying to find some ideas for at-home fun. Plus, right now it is raining, so more is going to be indoors. Here are some fun ideas for the kids or whole family to do indoors or the backyard. Ways to stay entertained while not going out as much.
I hope you all are staying home and staying safe.
These are like slime and yet poofy and not sticky and are so unique. I wouldn’t call them ‘butter’ like the butter made from milk, but they are definitely interesting and so satisfying to play with. They come in a variety of scents. The Green Apple is my favorite. I also have S’mores, Bubble Gum and Mint Chocolate Chip. Even my 19-year-old son likes playing with them! The OMG Jewelry Surprise Balloon Singles are super cute for the younger family members and will be in their baskets. All are available online from We Cool Toys.
The Egg Mazing kit is perfect for dye-free Easter eggs. Simply put batteries in the machine, put in one egg and turn it on. Grab one marker at a time (a few are included) and draw on the egg as it spins. It seems to simple but the patterns are really neat. These are great for the people that can’t run out and get dye right now too. The Flying Chick and Bunny Poppers are silly but fun. They’ll be added to the kids’ baskets.
Want some fun toys that bring back childhood nastasia? Scooby-Doo is here with the gang in the Mystery Machine. PlayMobil has been around for decades, bringing toys to kids of all ages. It is a 25 piece set you can assemble and includes some Scooby Snacks. The large box is a 72 piece set with Fred, Thelma, and Daphne with the van and some clues.

Believe it or not… I made these! I totally created, printed, added the insert and signed them. Took only a few minutes too. I used my brand new Cricut JOY! It is really cute, compact and prints, cuts, makes a lot that the Explore Air 2 does, but has an awesome mat just for these cards. It cuts the front and not the back by using a sleeve. The card sets come with blank envelopes too.
My nieces love slime and are both into art so I thought these would be perfect for Easter. The SlimyGloop Slimy Sand is a new one, to me, but is very cool to play with. It molds like sand but is also stretchy. The Trolls is a slime kid and the Paint Your Own Unicorn is a pretty ceramic figure that can be painted (and kit comes with paints).
Some beauty products are perfect for the teens and tweens. This is actually two sets. The first is eyeliner, an fine brow pencil and Fat Lash mascara. All from Merle Norman. I love their selection of makeup and beauty products and they are all high-quality. They are also great products for Mother’s Day. The second set is a lip scrub, a face & sleep mask and a lip mask by Nugg. Their products are natural and vegan and are totally cute to use. I love the scents of the lip products too. I also used my Cricut Explore Air 2 to print labels on miscellaneous shaped bottles. I searched Harry Potter potions online and added them. Then I bought Jelly Bellys in a few colors and filled the bottles and gave them to the kids for Easter.
