DIY Patriotic Crayons
I love these patriotic crayons. These are really easy to make and the kids can help. Make them for 4th of July, Memorial Day, Veteran’s Day, Labor Day, 9-1-1 or to celebrate your own American event, like a family member being deployed or a party celebrating them coming home. I low how the ingredient list is just crayons and a mold. Grab some paper and be ready to have fun coloring once they are done. Make sure you make enough for everyone. Plan ahead and as you kids color keep the broken crayons.

Instructions
- Lay your Silicone Star Molds out. I suggest placing them on a baking sheet so you can easily move the Molds to & from the oven with zero crayon spills.
- Now take your broken crayons and remove all the paper.
- Then sort the crayons by color.
- Now for the fun part. Take your broken crayons and start placing them in the molds. To get a red & blue tie-dye effect, just toss the broken crayons in the molds randomly. To get solid colors, place similar shades of red and blue together in each star.
- Once your Silicone Star Molds are filled with crayons, turn the oven on 250 degrees. Once heated, place the molds in the oven for about 10 minutes or until the crayons have fully melted.
- After your Patriotic Crayons are nice and melted, take them out of the oven and let them cool and return to a solid state.
- Once your Patriotic Crayons are solid, pop your Crayons out of the molds.
- Color away!!! Enjoy 🙂
You can do more than one mold at once if you have a big enough oven for baking.
Let crayons cool completely before removing them from molds. Pop each one out and they are ready to go.
You’ll love how easy this is. Kids will love the blend of colors as they draw. White paper works best buy you can try out how they look on red or blue paper.
