5 Tips For Family Game Night Fun For All Ages
Having a family game night can be fun for all ages if you plan it right. Make sure you get a few games, so that the kids can choose, and that there are games for each age group. If older kids, like teens, have to help younger kids, or have to play some games that are for younger kids, that is okay. Younger kids can play games for older kids by teaming up with someone older too. Doing this not only is fun, but it creates some down-time for the whole family and where everyone can relax and chat on a casual level.
1- Planning it ahead, so others don’t make plans with friends is important. Some people do family game night monthly, others weekly. It is also up to your family if friends are invited.
2-Mix it up. Have games that are family favorites and get new games.
3- You don’t have to do this at home. You can bring games to a picnic table at your local park or to a pizza parlor.
4- Have everything planned out. Food (especially if it is dinner time), snacks, drinks. If you are doing it somewhere like your living room make sure there is places for drinks to be set without having them spill or use drink containers that seal.
5- If you have a large family or lots of extra kids over you can split things into teams or even groups (where each group is playing different games but in the same area with everyone else). Make sure no one is left out.
