Old Time Candy 4 lb Box.
Candy from the 1990’s.
This box was so packed full of candy that after we looked through it to check out the contents it was impossible to repack. Amazing amount of candies and lollipops. Not much for chocolates, besides Rolo. Some I remember from my childhood. Others I’d never heard of. It was neat to open up this box and share it with my children.
Big league Chew we had at softball games. FunDip I remember getting in my Easter Basket. Razzlers were fun candy that turned into gum (the kids had never heard of Razzlers). I even remember when Nerds first came out. It was a novel experience to have to flavors in one box (one on each side). My sister and I loved Mike & Ikes and Hot Tamales when we went to the movie theatre in the summer. What a great way to explore candy and the changes in packaging in the last few decades.
These here are ones I’d never heard of. The Sour Smog Balls I showed around and my friends hadn’t heard of them either but we had heard of Toxic Waste candies. So maybe the smog balls were sold in other states and not California. Same with the Cotton Candy and Cry Baby balls, Cow Tales and Payback Attack.
These three are my favorites from the box. They all bring back childhood memories.
