1960’s Decade Box

Who remembers these candies from the 1960’s?  Some I have had and love and a few I’ve never even heard of.  I got this box from Old Time Candy of the 60’s for the guy I’m dating, for a gift, since he was born in the 60’s.  The look of excitement when he saw some he remembers was priceless.

Chuckles are ones I’d never seen before, same with the Indian Pumpkin Seeds.  My kids have had the candy ice cream cones before and loved them.My all time favorite candy as a kid was Bit-O-Honey!  So excited to see these in here.  Jujyfruits, Dots and Turkish Taffy are here too.
Ohhhh… how I remember those red way lips from Halloween.  Love the Chick-o-Sticks, Sugar Daddy and SweetTarts.  I never had the Slop Stix and never heard of it before.  It is neat to see candy from previous decades.

Most of these are not new but the Fizzies were really cool.  They are rootbeer flavored candies.  I remember candy cigarettes from the ice cream man and my sister used to get Lemonheads when she was having a bad day… yes, the candy is bringing back memories.
The whole box was packed  full of candy.  A lot of small candies too.  Some that my son snuck and ate before I could get pictures taken.  I was planning to hid the box until Christmas for my beau but decided by then it would be empty, since my son saw the box arrive in the mail.
