10 Summer Boredom Buster Games For Kids

Summer is here.  Is anyone else dreading their kids saying they are bored? Or their kids watching too much tv? Maybe you are already there!!  Here are some great toys, games and activities for kids to do.  Ways to have fun and have the day pass by.  Worst thing, for me, when the kids are bored is they fight.  Hopefully some of these will cure the boredom-blues and help create some harmony in the house as summer begins.

Preschool Age

Little ones will love these Pop-Oh-Ver sets.  So easy to set up, just open them up and place them over a kitchen chair.  Great for creating endless hours of make believe.  Right now they have two different ones.  A stove set and a kitchen counter top set.  A set with kitchen pots and pans can be purchased separately.  When kids are done they whole thing can be taken apart for easy storage.

Snuggly Rascals Comfy Headband Headphones. These are sooo cute.  I wish there made them for adults too.  Each one is headphones kids can wear like a headband.  No worry about something shoved in their ears, them falling down and they have a volume limiting to them, so kids won’t damage their eardrums.  They are available in six designs (penguin, monster, kitten, owl, panda and unicorn) and each in a separate color.  Good for car trips too.  For ages 3+.  Simply wrap around head and attach.  They are adjustable and have special washing instructions.

Each is either slime or putty for kids to play with.  The tins work great as storage containers too.  Made for believers only.

Roar into fun with make believe time with these stuffed animals by Wild Republic.  Each one is great for having wild dino parties, cuddling for sleep and everything in between. They have other ones, like this black tipped shark too.  I love how they aren’t too scary (for kids to play with) yet are great for lots of play time.

Dig in and dig out your own dino eggs with Dig It!
