1-2-3 Simple Matzah Pizza
This is a really easy recipe. I saw it in a magazine a decade or so ago and have been making it since with the kids. They can even make it themselves.
Just need some Matzah (this one is whole wheat). I buy a HUGE box of it when it is on sale (each box has 5 smaller boxes in it) and it usually lasts a year. Cheese, pizza sauce and any other toppings you may like on your pizzas.
This is actually the first thing most users notice when first starting http://deeprootsmag.org/2014/03/05/payment-1957/ buy levitra on the product. - Matzah (this one is whole wheat because it was on sale but you can use regular ones too.
- Shredded cheese or mozzarella cheese.
- Spaghetti sauce.
- Toppings (we used pepperoni).
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Spray non-stick spray on cookie sheet.
- Put the Matzah on a cookie sheet. If it is a normal sized one you can do two at a time. You can use this as your work surface or use a cutting board.
- Brush spaghetti sauce on the top. Get the whole surface covered but not too thick.
- Spread cheese on top.
- Put on any additional toppings.
- Bake in oven until cheese is melted. (aprox 5-7 minutes).
- Sauce will soften Matzah and pizza will be soft and delicious.
We made these in our toaster oven since it is too hot in the house.

Finally, a pizza recipe that uses something whole wheat! 🙂 I’m unable to eat “white” breads/matzah/pizza crust, etc., and while I know I can substitute, it drives me nuts that more people don’t think to say they use whole wheat. This recipe sounds great – I’ll have to give it a try!

I have never had Matzah before, but am willing to try it. My 5 year old would love to make these!
I added your post to my buffer because my readers would enjoy this as well! 🙂

OMYum! I absolutely love pizza but I’d only eat it if it’s whole wheat, I can’t do white. Your recipe looks great and I can’t wait to try it.

So quick and easy and definitely better than the shop bought ones! I’ve been on the lookout for recipes I can use for pizzas as I’m gluten free. Are they any other types of Matzah that doesn’t contain wheat?

Wow! A simple wholewheat recipe that can be knocked up in an instant – I LOVE this idea, and so much easier than trying to make a wholewheat pizza (I married into an Italian family and believe me, wholewheat pasta doesn’t taste as good as the ‘real’ stuff). Thanks so much for this top tip!

This is a fun recipe to do with the kids. They love making their own pizza. And we actually have some Matzah sitting on top of our fridge.

I’ve never used matzah before. This would be fun for a kids party for everyone to make their own or just a fun family night in. If i brushed it with olive oil would it “crisp” or stay soft?

OMG. Why did this idea never cross my mind? My two favorite things rolled into one.

OK I am a Matzah NUT I can not believe I haven’t thought of this before! I love the idea of the light airy, crispy crust and I can not imagine it sits in your gut like a ton of bricks like traditional pizza. Going to try this one for sure this weekend:) #bloeglina

I didn’t even know what Matzah is. Where do you generally find it in the grocery store? Bread aisle?

I have this childhood memory of a blue and white package of Matzah in the back of the kitchen cupboard. At the time, I never saw it used, opened, and had no clue what it was. As I got older, I did learn what it was, and I think it’s really cool that you can use it to make pizza. I would have never thought of that. What a quick and easy meal to make!

Thanks for sharing this – it looks really easy. I have a question though, as I’ve never eaten matzah before – does the pizza get soggy? Is the matzah like a cracker?
