I’m guessing many of you have never heard of a Diva Cup but they aren’t new. They have been around for a while and are a great way to reduce our environmental impact and reduce health risks associated with other menstrual aids. Menstrual cups have been around since the 1930’s but these ones are more cutting-edge awesome.
So, what are they? The DivaCup is a reusable, bell-shaped menstrual cup that is worn internally and sits low in the vaginal canal, collecting rather than absorbing your menstrual flow. No more tampons. No more pads. Less trash & waste and better for you.
Now, I know you are either intrigued or grossed out but this stuff is important. We need to take care of our bodies so that they last. I won’t go into details of how you use these but you can look on the Diva Cup website for more information, a Q&A page and even a video.
I had friends telling me about the Diva Cup for quite a long time. They are not new age but are definitely better than the alternatives women have. You can search their Store Finder to find a location near you selling the Diva Cup or search for online stores. To learn more you can check out the Diva Cup website or find them on Facebook and Twitter.
craft activity kits. Great for all ages and very hands-on fun. Kids
can sculpt, paint, draw and more with a kit they get each month in the
mail. You can sign up for a monthly or yearly subscription and chose
from regular art/craft kits, sensor kits or order birthday party packs. The kit I received was for sculpting clay, or Kelly’s Klay. It came in a powder form and I needed to add hot water and a tiny bit of oil to make it. Kaela had fun helping. I added the liquid myself since it was hot and I let her stir and mix it up.It was easy to mix at first but after a while she wanted me to take over. I did and this is what it looked like all mixed. The clay was still hot so we let it sit for 5 minutes and then, using our hands, we squished it more to make it smooth. When it was done it was georgous looking clay. Very pliable and a awesome color of green (my favorite color).
I have to admit. I am one of those moms that pull up at the park and put my kids’ sunscreen on when we first get there. I slack at remembering to do it at home and forgot the importance of sun protection. Like sunscreen, sunglasses are just as important to protect their eyes. Real Kids Shades thinks eye protection for children is important and they do it with style.
They currently offer protective eyewear for that vary in color and size depending on the age of your child. They also work closely with Prevent Blindness America to educate the public on the importance of protecting children’s eyes. Real Kids Shades make durable, high quality sunglasses that are perfect for children from newborns to 12 years of age.
Real Kids Shades are specifically constructed to fit kids’ faces and their lifestyles. The even have Extreme Sport models for kids that are a little more rough and tough or in sports. They are also 100% UV protection (UVA & UVB).
My kids LOVE their Real Kids Shades. and the feel cool wearing them. The fit well and look good. This is the first time, ever, my children have worn sunglasses for more than a few hours.
I was a little weary to try Goat’s Milk Soap since I’ve never tried a soap with milk in it (regardless of mammal). I had heard a lot about this company from other bloggers and decided to give it a try. I was blown over by the generosity of Goat Milk Stuff. They sent me a variety of soaps, lotion and chapstick. All are delicious smelling and work great.
The soaps I received are Rosemary Mint, Lemongrass, Patchouli and Oatmeal, Milk & Honey. I also received a Black Raspberry lotion stick and Black Cherry lip balm.
I’d never heard of a lotion stick before but this product works great. Easy to rub on. I tried on my elbows and it worked great. It did not flake or or create any chunky pieces. I tried it on my hands and was amazed at how the dryness was gone and my hands were shiny but not oily. The smooth, soft feeling lasted for 2 days.
For the lotions the smell is amazing and they work great. Not overpowering in scent but enough to linger later on.
You can also purchase gift sets, sugar scrubs, shaving items and bath bombs on Goat Milk Stuff’s website.
Their soaps are beautful to look at too.
Goat Milk Stuff is a family owned business that started in 2008 and they homeschool like Mom Are We There Yet! 🙂
