Baby Shower Gift Guide
My cousin’s 18-year-old is pregnant and I am hosting a baby shower in December. Right now things are falling into place. Registry started. Online shopping. Blogging. I’m going to see if I can find some of the newest baby items out there to help her out and can’t wait to share everything with my fans. I’ll update as we go along. Right now the baby is due in February so we have plenty of time to get ready. Besides having my own kids (now teens) I was also a La Leche League Leader for over 10 years so am familiar with what is on the market and the must-haves they’ll need.

Print this for the parents. It is a good idea to pack everything 1-2 months ahead.
Here are some must-have items for the mom and baby plus a list of what to pack for both before the baby is born.
Andy Pandy. Organic baby shampoo, body wash and lotion.
I love the Sweet Orange scent and that they are all 100% natural. They can be used on newborns and up and even used by mom (so other lotions on her skin don’t bother the baby). Andy Pandy also has eco-friendly disposable baby diapers and teething necklaces.
Secure Beginnings crib mattress.
This is an awesome accessory for a standard crib. if you have a baby that rolls on their tummy or are worried about it than this is a nice safety. This breathable crib mattress goes on the inside of the crib and elevates the baby above the base. You are able to lay your baby down and pick them up easily Less worry when they are sleeping and it is easy to install.
Baby Tooshy Organizer.
This is a diaper caddy and organizer in one. In a gender neutral chevron pattern. You can carry it room to room with wide handles too. Fit up to 60 diapers, wipes, ointment and other essentials inside or in the outside pockets. Great for up to a week’s supply of diaper accessories at your side. Baby Tooshy also has cloth diapers, diaper covers and more.
I love this Sophie the Giraffe toy. Kids can squeeze, it, squish it and chew on it. It is soft to hold and I love the large size (plus it’s super cute). It is made of 100% natural rubber in France and made from food-safe dyes. It is a great toy and teether and has been around for generations.
Olive the Deer is available at Peurobaby. O&C have these super cute chewable bracelets. They are great for kids to be able to chew on without worrying about dropping on a dirty floor. They are 100% natural. Handmade. Non-toxic. I love how they are even painted with extracts from plants and made from rubber from trees. Can you tell I like natural toys? Teethers are great for babies a few months old up to a year or more so you want ones that last a long time and are durable. Use code BIBB10 for 10% Off.
Personalized Baby Book by Put Me In The Story. This has the baby’s name on the cover and a short paragraph from the parents to the baby on the inside of the book. Pages are ‘baby first’ like a baby book. Super cute and lots of places to insert photos, including the cover.
We know ‘what goes in must go out’ so having a newborn means we can measure how much the drink, especially while breastfeeding, by wet diapers. But for those worried about the baby’s weight, about weight gain and want to monitor easily than check out this Baby Check digital baby scale by EatSmart. This does not replace having checkups with the doctor but is a great way to check weight at home. It even measures in 1/2 ounce increments and measures up to 44 lbs (can use it to weigh pets too). It also has a memory recall, to show the most recent past weights.
Travel Pal by Diono is a great seat organizer for baby toys, extra clothing, etc and can work as children get older to put stuffed animals, cups, travel toys, etc.
